The Breakfasts

World Travels and Passion for great foods have influenced the Breakfast you will be served while staying at Desert Hills B&B.

One freshly cooked entrée is offered to each guest, in 7 different seating times, the first starting at 7:40 am and the last at 8:40 am, along side of your classic egg dishes, should you choose not to try it.

The complexity of our warm entrée featuring Eggs from our own Happy Chickens cannot be anticipated to prior than 7:40 am, but you will not go hungry if your needs for packing up and going require you to leave before then. There is a continental option available from 7 am on.

Unfortunately our Kitchen and Breakfast area are Closed  before 7 am.

When in season, vegetables and fruits from our own garden will accompany the seven different breakfast entrées we rotate.  That means that if you stay seven nights with us you will enjoy seven different breakfasts and not taste the same item twice (only one item is presented each day).

Always present at breakfast is a selection of our own Homemade Breads, Homemade Yogurt, store bought cereals,  fresh fruits, choice of milks and many other items.  Depending on seasonal fruits we also offer a choice of our own homemade jams.  We try as much as we can to provide premium fresh ingredients, an assortment of at least twelve different teas, Colombian or Arabic Coffee and non-dairy products.

As your breakfast is freshly prepared at breakfast time, it is often possible to modify some of the ingredients to accommodate special diet restrictions and allergies.  It is not possible however to order breakfast ala carte from a menu or change the main Entree completely as we are not a restaurant.

Our Chickens

Chickens are the perfect recyclers, they eat everything left over from breakfast, lunches and dinners. They are Omnivores, they eat everything we eat, no matter how spicy it is (they should not eat chocolate or heavy processed foods) so, at our Bed and Breakfast nothing goes to waste.

Their way to thank us for what we give them is providing eggs for our breakfast and compost manure for our vegetable gardens.  Kids and adults alike love to check them out, pet the ones that are more friendly and take selfies with them.  No Rooster will ever be present on our property as its annoying crowing skills are not needed for the production of eggs.

Our Vegetable Gardens

When in season, usually between April and November, our Vegetable gardens (which are never treated with any harsh chemicals) offer us Tomatoes, Peppers, Melons, Apricots, Apples, Carrots, Swiss Chard, Kale, Zucchini, Squashes, Potatoes, Pumpkins, Eggplants and an incredible variety of herbs and greens like spinach, Arugula, Chives, Oregano, Basil, Thyme, Parsley and many many more.

We look Forward to serve you our complimentary first meal of your adventurous day here in Moab.
